My Last Monday Luncheon

Today’s Monday lunch we went to Nacho Daddy.

A couple of years ago we went to Nacho Daddy in Las Vegas and we couldn’t remember what we ordered, but this was not it. Eli’s face sums up what it tasted like as well. We didn’t enjoy it at all. It was very dry and VERY spicy. The waitress confirmed it wasn’t spicy when we ordered, but she was wrong.

For dessert we ordered apple nachos. We have had this before and it didn’t disappoint. When we need something sweet, we will be back for this!

This wasn’t a very enjoyable Monday lunch and not just because of the food. This will be my last Monday luncheon and not just because school has started. The Monday luncheons have been fun and I enjoyed EVERY Monday.

Eli said he is going to miss these lunches and so will I, so Eli and I will have to come up with some sort of lunch together and start our own tradition.

Monday Luncheon

I probably shouldn’t even document this lunch. I didn’t take any pictures of lunch. I really wasn’t impressed. It was just food. Nothing special.

Eli and I had the crepes. They were just crepes. They were good. Just nothing special about it. No one had anything to say about breakfast.

So, for dessert we went to a place that we knew wouldn’t disappoint. We went to the Chocolate.

We ordered our usual skookie. Half peanut butter cookie and the other half with chocolate chip cookie, with a HUGE scoop of ice cream. Well worth the calories!

Monday Luncheon

Today’s luncheon we went to Cup Bop.

My bowl is the vegetarian bowl. The noodles are sweet potato noodles. A little rice and vegetables. The sauce, I can’t remember, but they had numbers or something like that. I told them mild and a drop of heat sauce. The heat sauce was HEAT.

It was really good and I would go back and take Paul with. The bowl was big enough I spit with Aaron and Dad. The only thing I would do next time is add more rice. The noodles were really good, but it needs 50/50 rice/ noodles.

For dessert, we needed to go to somewhere quick because it was getting late and we had Little Pea with us. So, The Chocolate it is.

This was our 18th selfie. Is this how we all want to remember ourselves? Weird side view trying to hold the phone to get everyone in there, wind blown hair – except Aarons hair always looks like that, ha!

Skokie. Half peanut butter and Half chocolate chip. Vanilla ice cream. You can’t go wrong with this!

Monday Luncheon

Today’s luncheon we went to my favorite! Summerhays Halibut N’ Chips.

I love fry sauce, and a little fries. The halibut is the best!

For dessert we since we were close to downtown, we went to Brownies, Brownies, Brownies.

Mint brownie, chocolate chip brownie, and butterscotch brownie. I shared all three with Eli and Paul, the but butterscotch wasn’t split equally. 🙂 That one was really good.

Monday Luncheon

Today’s lunch is at Buca di Beppo.

We had fun with a lot of laughs as usual.

We split a large platter with a bunch of pastas. Not too impressed. When we left we discussed that the food really wasn’t that good.

Dessert was at Rockwell.

You can’t go wrong with ice cream. This is Eli’s favorite dessert. Give him a choice of anything and ice cream it is.

Skookie with ice cream. Pretty good. Okay, really good.

Monday Luncheon

Today’s lunch is at Woody’s Drive in.

Eli at the jukebox. 🙂

And then dad and Aaron at the jukebox.

Lunch was Okay. We had the halibut and fries. I’m spoiled with Neils halibut and fries, and these were good, but not Neils. So, I shouldn’t compare. So, were they good? Yes, they were good, and I would come back again. But I would choose Neils first 🙂

Hot and ready.

For dessert we stopped at Krispy Kreme. Eli has never experienced hot and ready. Funny, because the first and only time Paul and I have had hot and ready was when we were out of the state picking up Eli. He was a week old the last time I had these. It sure was fun to eat one with him 🙂

We were all here today 🙂

Had to throw this little guy in here. Not everyday you see a walking leaf!

Monday Luncheon

Today’s lunch, we started out with dessert first. Provo bakery.

Now that we are not going to Bountiful for donuts at Dicks, we need to find another bakery with an old fashioned donut. Well, this place wasn’t it. It didn’t have any taste and I threw most of it away.

The icing filled croissants were the best!! I will go back for these.

After dessert we went to Tommy’s Burger for lunch. We were a little nervous when we drove up. As we were thinking about leaving, 4 missionaries came up and said this was an excellent place to eat. While they were ordering, two other people showed up. So we ordered.

The missionaries were right. Everything we ordered was really good! I got my fill of fry sauce, so I was happy!

That evening we went to the Real soccer game.

We went with my parents who are Real fans. notice their attire. It was also pouring rain. By the time we left our pants were soaked. We had a good time, and the butterfly did make it across the field- without the referee’s help. 🙂

Monday Luncheon

Started out bright and early to beat the heat.

I ran up the hill while Eli rode his bike.

He is my little competitive little boy. He wanted us to have races up the ENTIRE hill. This hill is a mile. A very LONG mile 🙂

On the way back down, we saw mama duck and her littles. They even used the cross walk, ha!

We went to Village Baker for our Monday luncheon.

Can’t go wrong with the cinnamon roll.

Thick sandwich bread is what I needed after our little run this morning. This is Eli’s sandwich. Yes, he ate the whole thing!

108′. What?!

108′. We needed to cool off. Eli and I packed up and went to the water park for the remainder of the day.

I sure love this little boy. I’m blessed to be able to spend a fun day with him.

Monday Luncheon

The day started out with crepes. Eli decorated it himself.

We went for a run. They were having a mini triathlon and the swimming part was at the lake. I so want to do it next year, but I can’t get myself to swim in that lake. Okay, to swim at all 🙂

Back at home, he was cooling off in front of the fridge.

Eli is into science so we did the classic baking soda and vinegar thing.

He loved it!

We jumped into Mormor and Morfar’s car and went to our Monday luncheon.

After several issues with places (three places we drove into and left for various reasons) we ended up at the Old Spaghetti Factory.

I haven’t been here for years. Eli loves noodles, so it was a good choice for today.

Since we were driving around for so long trying to find a place to eat for lunch, we went for dessert at our usual, Chip.

The classic chocolate chip cookie. The best one out of the box.

100′ by the afternoon.

We had to finish out the day at the water park to cool off.

He had such a good time. I sure hope Eli remembers these fun days.

Monday Luncheon

Aaron picked out a fun place for today’s lunch. We went to Rio Grande Cafe. The restaurant was in an old fire station.

Mexican. The portions were huge!

Dad came with which was fun. Aaron did a split picture on his camera to get all of us sitting at the table. Worked well.

After lunch we went to Delice for dessert.

I was a little disappointed in my choices. The gal said this was a buttercream frosting. She was wrong. Each layer is a mousse. It was really good, but I’m not into mousse cake.

I also tried a chocolate dipped peanut butter cookie. The gal said it was a soft cookie. Again, she was wrong. It was hard. It wasn’t bad, but when we go back, I will try something different. They had some cheesecakes that looked delicious so we will be back to try those!
